Skywalker Smart FPV Racing wing

FPV Racing Wings are making a rise in the FPV racing world lately and it's no surprise to many. If you've been to a mini-quad race as a spectator you will have noticed that at times mini-quads are difficult to see and once you spot them it's hard to keep up with them. FPV Racing Wings have the advantage of being larger, although they are typically faster than a mini quad they are easier to follow due to their size and flashy custom colors.
Requiring fewer components also makes FPV Racing Wings a slightly cheaper option for an individual entering the hobby because they do not need to buy as many motors or escs. Also having you the majority of your components inside the frame of your aircraft dramatically helps with protecting the expensive gear in the event of a crash.
There are many options for wings if you are a custom builder and so of those options have a lot of DIY shaping that goes into building the aircraft. If you are new to the hobby you may want to think about saving yourself the time and headache that goes into this design process by purchasing a manufactured aircraft that durable and easy to repair.
Skywalker Smart is the latest wing on the market and it features some interesting design ideas. Skywalker Smart is a relatively small FPV Racing Wing with a wingspan of 996mm. This is also one if not the only manufactured high strength EPO bodies on the market featuring dual motors! Skywalker says that this FPV Racing Wing can reach speeds over 140 KPH with 4S bettery power and proper ESC, MOTOR, and Prop combinations, which should be able to make this one of the fastest wings on the market.
It's COG is located right at the PDB or FLIGHT controller mid section ranging from 240-250mm from the nose of the aircraft depending on battery size and weight. The nose of the aircraft also has room for your FPV camera and a high definition action camera with multiple models being able to be installed making this an aircraft of choice because it's protected in the body of the aircraft rather than being mounted to the top. Those action cameras get expensive when they are exposed and constantly getting knocked around so having this feature is very nice. The added protection helps keep your worries on the flight and not worry about the added expense of possibly smashing a top mounted 300 dollar. Here's a few pictures from FPVMODEL'S newest release of the Skywalker Smart. If you are interested in following the movement of this aircraft head over to RCGroups and check out FPVMODELs latest thread about it.
